Serbia is thru to the Davis Cup semi-finals following a comeback 2-1 win over Kazakhstan on Wednesday.

Mikhail Kukushkin collected the opening level for Kazakhstan, beating Miomir Kecmanovic 7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-6 (11), after saving 4 match factors. The match lasted three hours and 18 minutes.

World no.1 Novak Djokovic saved Serbia’s hopes alive for a semi-final spot within the second match of the day when he cruised previous Alexander Bublik 6-3, 6-4 in a single hour and 16 minutes.

Novak broke within the fourth recreation to seal the opening set. The second set adopted the same sample with Djokovic as soon as once more getting a break, this time within the third recreation. The Serbian ace, who lead his workforce to the Davis Cup title in 2010, received 91 % of factors on his first serve (29/32).
