Trump Tries to Revive David Perdue’s Sputtering Marketing campaign

New York Occasions: “Early polls have steadily proven Mr. Perdue, a former senator, trailing Mr. Kemp by about 10 share factors. The governor has the backing of most of the state’s huge donors and stays far forward of Mr. Perdue in fund-raising. After pursuing a deeply conservative legislative agenda, Mr. Kemp has secured help from many of the prime state leaders and lawmakers, even those that have, till now, aligned with Mr. Trump.”

“Mr. Perdue’s sputtering begin could trace at a deeper flaw in Mr. Trump’s plan to punish the governor for refusing to work to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election outcomes: Mr. Trump’s grievances could now largely be his alone. Whereas polls present many G.O.P. voters consider lies about fraud and irregularities within the 2020 election, there’s little proof that Republicans stay as fixated on the election as Mr. Trump.”

The Atlanta Journal Structure quotes Trump final night time: “I hope, David, you’re going to be the governor, or I simply wasted a helluva lot a time tonight.”

Erick Erickson: “The Trump turnout on a Saturday in Georgia was anemic. That doesn’t bode nicely for his slate of candidates. Not all of the folks there have been from Georgia and even in a position to vote. And Perdue and the opposite candidates needed to foot the invoice. Oof.”
